The CP4 pump pressurizes and propels diesel fuel into your Duramax engine's internal combustion chamber through the fuel injectors.

While the previous models (2001-2010) relied on the stable yet inefficient CP3 pump, the CP4 is a powerhouse that packs high pressure with less volume for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 

Even though it's more efficient, the CP4 platform has some erosion problems that can send metal debris through your fuel system. Accumulation of this debris will eventually cause a total breakdown and expensive repairs.
