Pop the hood on any diesel rig across North America, and you might spot the WCFab logo welded to an intake or intercooler. That logo? It’s a mark of pride, a promise to the diesel community that WCFab products are built to last with top-notch craftsmanship and perfect fitment. If their name’s on it, it’s because they care enough to make it right.

WCFab’s roots go back to 2010 in a tiny two-truck garage in Sandwich, Illinois. Motorsports were life—dirt bikes, ATVs, trucks, you name it. When things broke, they fixed them themselves. That DIY spirit led to fixing up Duramaxes and discovering a passion for diesel power.

By 2011, the garage was too small, so they moved to a 2,400 SF shop in Sugar Grove. Over the next four years, they kept expanding, hitting 8,500 SF before outgrowing it again. In 2015, they moved to a 22,500 SF space in Sycamore, where they brought powder coating in-house, adding that signature splash of color under the hood.

Spring 2018 saw another jump to a 35,000 SF facility in DeKalb, Illinois, where they added ceramic coatings, CNC mills, and lathes to step up their R&D and production game.

Fast forward to 2022, and WCFab is now rocking a brand-new 112,000 SF facility in DeKalb. This state-of-the-art shop tripled their powder coating capacity and added new manufacturing lines, laser cutting, CNC press brakes, and more.

Today, Wehrli Custom Fabrication & Powder Coating is a crew of over 50, including the founder’s three brothers and his wife. They’re a tight-knit team, dedicated to delivering top-quality products, unmatched service, and expert advice.
